At the International Innovation Center of Tsinghua University, the Tsinghua Industrial Engineering (IE) Alumni Shanghai Networking Event on January 13th, 2024 brought together alumni from a wide range of industries. This gathering created a platform for both international and Chinese alumni to connect, share experiences, and cultivate opportunities for both professional collaborations and personal bonds. The event was coordinated by the International Master’s Program of the Department of Industrial Engineering and MEM Education Center of Tsinghua University.

The evening's event commenced with a keynote speech by Associate Professor Liang Ma, who shared valuable insights on the department's development,  international programs, and the International Engineering Management Talent Development Forum. The insightful presentation was followed by a warm welcome speech from Mr. Wei Feng, representing the Tsinghua IE Alumni Association in East China.

One of the evening's highlights was the interactive session, where every attendee had the chance to introduce themselves and share their professional and personal experiences. This session not only deepened the understanding among the alumni but also nurtured a stronger, more interconnected community. Performances by alumni added an extra layer of entertainment to the event, seamlessly integrating professional networking with heartfelt moments. Furthermore, the informal discussions created a relaxed atmosphere for alumni to deepen connections, get to know each other better, and explore potential collaborations, ultimately fostering lasting connections.

All in all, the Tsinghua IE Alumni Shanghai Networking Event 2024 was a great success, acting as a bridge to reconnect old friends and ignite new friendships, strengthening the active and close-knit community within the alumni network of the Department of Industrial Engineering.
