Biography
Dr. Su Wu obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1984, and subsequently obtained his Master and Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua in 1988 and 1994 respectively.
He was an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua from 1995 to 2001, and he was appointed professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering from 2001 to present. His research interests include quality engineering, manufacturing technology, quality control, supply chain management, reliability and maintenance. During his time teaching at Tsinghua, he received numerous teaching awards.
Dr. Wu was a visiting professor in University of Michigan between 1998 and 2000, and a visiting professor in RWTH Aachen University of Technology in 2005.
