Biography
Dr. Xiaobo Zhao received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Manufacturing from Dalian Railway Institute, China in 1983, received Master of Science in Marine Mechanical Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology, China in 1988, and Ph.D. in System Engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan in 1996. Dr. Zhao was an assistant professor from 1988 to 1992 at Wuhan University of Technology. He was an assistant professor in the School of Economic and Management at Tsinghua from 1998 to 1999, and associate professor from 1999-2001. He was later appointed associated professor by the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua from 2002 to 2003, and professor from 2003 to present. He was also a visiting fellow at City University of Hong Kong, and research fellow at Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan, Chinese University of Hong Kong, China, and Dalhousie University, Canada.
Dr. Zhao’s research interests include logistics and supply chain management, production and inventory management, behavior operations management and queueing systems.
